A favorite in bakeries, if you’ve loved our cream puffs and Portuguese tarts, this homemade version made with puff pastry will be another one you’ll love to make.

Jam and cream matchsticks ingredients

Matches are filled with a combination of fresh raspberries and jam. You can also use strawberry jam if you want. This recipe serves 4. So, let’s look at what you need.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • raspberry jam
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Whipped cream
  • powdered sugar

How to make jam and cream matchstick recipe

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cut the pastry sheet in half, then cut each half into 4 equal rectangles.

Place on a baking sheet and bake until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.

Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Spread out 4 rectangles with raspberry jam

Top with cream and press 3-4 fresh raspberries on top

Add a top layer of pastry and dust well with powdered sugar.

Serve immediately.
